Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it? -Luke 15:8
And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost. -Luke 15:9
Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth. -Luke 15:10
I was reading and thinking about the woman and the lost coin in the verses above. Even the frustration of losing something and having to search for it can be a reminder to us of God and how He sovereignly searches for and brings lost sinners to Himself. It can be a reminder of how He saved us.
Thinking of Scripture in this way certainly brings more meaning to those everyday events of house keeping and looking for lost things.
