No Surprise to God

Psalm 139:13-16 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother¹s womb.
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

Do you ever feel like you just clutter up the landscape because your body doesn't work right?  As we age or have chronic health problems it's easy to forget that God planned out our lives before we were even conceived.  He skillfully formed us and we are fearfully and wonderfully made.  He planned our days before any of them came to be.  What you are going through is no surprise to Him.  He has a special purpose for you just the way you are.  Psalm 18:30 says, " As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him."  God's plans for you are perfect.  They may not be easy and they may not seem like the best from our perspective, but they are for our ultimate spiritual good and His glory.  Take refuge in Him.

Dear Father,  Sometimes when my life takes a detour it's hard for me to see Your hand in it.  Give me eyes to see that what you are doing with me is part of Your perfect plan and purpose.  Use my trials to build godly character into my life for Your glory.  Amen.
